Wines

What makes a good wine? Its origin? Its price? Its bottle shape?

At Rexim, we understand that good wine must above all be authentic. A Bordeaux must also taste like a Bordeaux, a Côte de Provence Rosé must have a salmon-coloured shimmer and a slightly herbal aroma. Our deep and broad wine expertise makes it easy for us to find exactly these and many other authentic wines for our customers and to offer them at good conditions. Thanks to our many years of expertise in the food and specialist trade, we have also learnt to pay attention to the attractiveness of the product when selecting the range, as a bottle of wine often stands "alone" among many others on the wine shelf. Because product advice from competent sales staff in supermarkets has become rarer, the product must be able to speak for itself. Our wines can do this because we at Rexim not only live our wine knowledge every day, but also deliver honest and appealing products.

Bag-in-box wines

Many people believe that bag-in-box wines are inferior or taste worse than bottled wines. However, this is a widespread myth. The quality of a wine does not depend on the packaging, but on the quality of the grapes and the skill of the winemaker. There are many high quality wines sold in BIB packaging and many wine connoisseurs cannot tell the difference between BIB and bottle, as has been proven in numerous blind tastings.

Bag-in-box (BIB) wines have great advantages: The wine has a longer shelf life when opened than wine in a traditional bottle because neither oxygen nor light reaches the wine when it is removed. The quality of the wine is often the same for several weeks as if you were drinking it from a freshly uncorked bottle. The BIB wine is practical for travelling, e.g. when sailing or camping, but also for at home, as a longer-lasting, opened wine or for a larger celebration. BIB wine also scores highly in terms of environmental friendliness. The 40% reduction in weight compared to the bottle alone means that almost twenty times less CO2 is produced during transport. Recycling the packaging is also uncomplicated, the wineskin itself can simply be disposed of via the Green Dot and the cardboard goes into the paper waste. Many good arguments in favour of BIB wines!
